Networker

Where it comes from
Along the years, Infoloom has developed tools to help our customers achieve their goals.
The first generation of tools was based on publishing tools, that consisted in batch processing of mainly XML documents, providing a user-controllable automatic process to create topics connecting documents. Our major project was the production system for TaxMap, a product deployed by IRS that was in production between 2002 and 2019.
First Generation
The initial version of Networker gave the ability to interactively create and manage a topic map connecting information resources. This tool was developed as a sequel to an experimental project developed for the NYU libraries, and was used to create mappings between overlapping standards in accounting and auditing.
Today
Networker is now a cloud platform that can be used to collaborate between teams, create and edit documents and tables, internal or public web sites. Topics are the connected fabric that allows users to navigate at the same time between multiple documents and data tables, regardless how they are structured.
Its open architecture enables it to be used to curate data that can be created in other environments, and exported to delivery platforms.
Acquisition and maintenance of the topic network can be done using a built-in natural language processing toolkit, or replacing it with an AI platform of your choice. Most importantly, this topic network can be refined manually, until the information that it contains is considered fully trustable.
